This is a song John Denver wrote while he was still in the Mitchell Trio. The only known recording of it comes from a Denver, Boise & Johnson party.
John has also written another song called "Love Is the Answer" in 1992. That song is officially titled "Wandering Soul". Not to be confused with this one!
